A initiative to bring eyecare to those who wouldn’t otherwise afford it
Vision Varanasi is a charitable endeavor begun in 2007 to provide free eyecare to individuals who otherwise could not afford treatment.
Most commonly the clinic treats refractive issues (glasses), cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and infections, but anyone with an eye problem will be seen and receive advice. The clinic runs annually from the eye hospital building recently completed next door to the Bal Ashram. Dr. Ivor Wolfe from the United Kingdom heads the clinic with the support of the Aghor Foundation.
